Injuries at Birth – Medical Negligence

Michael is a direct access barrister who has been assisting individuals and their families bringing birth injury claims for over 20 years.

For most people, the birth of a child is a joyous occasion. For a very unfortunate minority of mums and dads, an injury sustained by their child at birth can result in long-term health and developmental problems. One such injury and probably the most serious of these is cerebral palsy.

Oxygen starvation is one of the main causes of cerebral palsy during birth. It is a condition marked by impaired muscle coordination (spastic paralysis) and/or other disabilities. It usually manifests itself during the first three years of a child’s life and can affect physical and mental development for the rest of their life.

If you or a member of your family should need assistance with a case involving an injury that was sustained either by the mother or the baby, either during pregnancy or at birth, then Michael should be able to help you.

Michael is now registered as a direct access barrister so you can instruct him directly.
